We let properties throughout the County Durham area and are keen to assist you in finding the ideal home for your individual circumstances and requirements. Please be aware that for your safety and peace of mind that:
- All of our managed properties are CORGI gas safety certificated and inspected for electrical safety.
- Security Deposits (bonds) are held in a designated Client Account in accordance with recommended practice.
The BLP Guide for Tenants
Finding a property - The best way to start is to speak with us direct and tell us about yourself and your property requirements. We can then search and advise you of any potential property matches. If there isn't anything that suits your needs we can log your details and contact you as soon as a suitable property becomes available.
Viewings - Viewings will be arranged at times that most suit your own requirements. You will be accompanied by a member of staff on all viewings who will be able to answer any questions you may have.
Reserving the Property - Once you have found and decided on a property that you would like, we arrange for you to come into the office in order for us to carry out our credit referencing. Should you be successful, we will then require you to pay a deposit (bond) to secure the property, this is normally the same as a months rent. Prior to moving in you will also be expected to pay a months rent in advance.
Tenancy Duration - We require you in all circumstances to sign a minimum 6 month tenancy agreement.
Rents - The rents are normally quoted per calendar month and payable monthly in advance. The tenant is also responsible for Council Tax, Water rates, gas, electricity and telephone costs.
